Our point of view

A little mischief.
A lot of belonging.

Cove & Nuzzle is an independent publication dedicated to sharing small homes with cats, dogs, and their distinct personalities. Cove is our self-assured cat; Nuzzle is our enthusiastic dog. They represent the two sides of a home that makes room for everyone. Our focus is practical: where things go, what earns its floor space, and which changes make living together easier.

Start with the home you have.

You do not need an expansive house or a wall of expensive accessories. We start with everyday routines, your pets’ natural instincts and preferences, and the practical realities of small spaces and apartments. Our free home planner turns those considerations into a starting checklist and equipment budget tailored to your space.

Research-backed pet care.

Our guides focus on the real dynamics of small-home living. We draw on trusted animal welfare guidelines, feline and canine behavioral science, and manufacturer specifications to help you design a harmonious living environment for your pets.

Practical product curation.

Every product we feature is chosen for its specific functional fit in small spaces. We evaluate pet essentials based on footprint, build materials, safety, durability, ease of cleaning, and enrichment value. We highlight the practical advantages alongside any tradeoffs so you can make informed choices for your home.

Buy thoughtfully.

We believe in purposeful essentials over unnecessary clutter. Start with what fits your pet’s natural habits and what you may already own. When you do invest in new equipment, choose items that earn their place and travel well with you.
